I felt a bit poorly on my way to work this morning so decided to come and work from my Dads. 

Not my house. 

Which is only ten minutes away. 

But my Dads. 

Where I have put his dressing gown on, found tea bags and macaroni from a packet and am comfortingly reassured that things are better because I am here.

Dad is not here. 

That doesn’t seem to matter. 

I wonder at what age your parents home stops becoming your safe place? 

The sanctuary you go to when things are not quite right.

cupboards, biscuits in the tin and something snuggly you can hide in until the world is right again. 

I hope Angus and bump always feel like they can arrive unannounced, rummage through my fridge, put the heating on use the WiFi without hesitation. 

Even when they are 36 and have better biscuits at their own house.
